TLC is a legendary R&B girl group responsible for sensational hits, such as “Don’t Go, Chasing Waterfall,” “Creep,” “No Scrubs,” and “Unpretty.” The original members, comprising Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas,” and Lisa “Left-Eye Lopez, dominated the ‘90s with their multi-platinum hits. In 1994, TLC released their first number-1 song, “Creep,” from their 12x-platinum album CrazySexyCool. The platinum-certified song topped the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts. The album spawned another number 1 song, “Waterfalls,” which also earned platinum status in the U.S. in 1999, TLC released two number 1 singles, “No Scrubs” and “Unpretty.” These chart-topping songs were featured in the group’s third album, Fan Mail, which topped the Billboard 200. TLC sold over 85 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. The trio has also won numerous accolades, including four Grammys and five MTV Video Music Awards.
Speaking of Grammys, Shaggy won Best Reggae Album twice with his 1996 effort Boombastic and 2016 collaboration album 44/876 with renowned singer-songwriter Sting. Prolific reggae artist Shaggy dropped some of the biggest songs of the 20th century, including “Boombastic” in 1995, “It Wasn’t Me,” and “Angel” in 2000. After selling over one million copies, his breakthrough album, Boombastic, earned platinum status in the U.S. Five years later, he dropped his best-selling album, Hot Shot, earning six-time platinum certification in the U.S. after selling 6.8 million copies. Collectively, Shaggy has sold over 20 million albums worldwide. His global streams have surpassed 1.8 billion, making him one of the most streamed Jamaican reggae artists of all time.
