Staind was formed in Springfield, Massachusetts - and they have been jamming since 1995. It’a all about Aaron Lewis rocking the vocals and rhythm guitar, Mike Mushok shredding as the lead guitarist, Johnny April holding it down on bass and backing vocals, and Jon Wysocki keeping the beat as the drummer. They've kept this core lineup solid, except for a blip in 2011 when Sal Giancarelli stepped in for Wysocki.
Staind's discography is a thing of beauty. They currently have eight studio albums. Spanning from "Tormented" in 1996 to the latest, "Confessions of the Fallen," which dropped in 2023, Staind continues to prove they’re one of the best rock bands out there. Remember "Break the Cycle" from 2001? That album went five times platinum in the U.S., and the lead single, "It's Been Awhile," was a chart-topper on the Billboard Hot 100.
Fast forward to 2024, and Staind is hitting the road again with "The Tailgate Tour," featuring old pals Seether, Saint Asonia, and the rising star Tim Montana. It's an 11-stop journey, kicking off on April 22 in Brandon, Mississippi, and cruising through the Midwestern and Eastern U.S. The grand finale? May 15 in Pelham, Alabama.
This tour 's part of Staind's ongoing reunion saga. They recently dropped their first studio album in 12 years, "Confessions of the Fallen," and the single "Here & Now" is a vibe. It’s even cracking the Top 5 at Active Rock radio. The Staind comeback is in full swing, and "The Tailgate Tour" is the perfect way to catch these rock legends in action!
In 2014, Aaron Lewis said the band would never go on tour again. He said, “The touring machine, as you call it, of Staind will never be again. Not like that, no. Never. I could never go back to playing six shows [a week] eight weeks in a row. I can't do that. I have grown in my age and become very accustomed to playing Thursday, Friday and Saturday and being able to go home for a few days and unwind and try to kind of have a life aside from doing this.”
Well, the joke’s on him because the band is finally ready to get back on their feet! Don’t miss out when they come to Brimingham, Alabama!
