Best known for their smash-hit debut single “Kryptonite” (2000), American rock band 3 Doors Down formed in 1996 in Escatawpa, Mississippi. After the success of their first single, the band were signed to Republic Records, releasing their debut album, The Better Life, in 2000. The Better Life became the 11th-best-selling album of the year and was certified six-times-platinum in the United States. A string of hit singles and multi-platinum-selling number-one albums followed for the band, cementing their popularity as one of the US's best-loved post-grunge acts. To date, the band has released six studio albums, and has sold over 20 million records worldwide.
